In this screenshot I'm adjusting the contrast and brightness of the falconer to try and create some more vivid blues in his jacket, so he is selected in the layers palette whilst the background remains unchanged. I am so looking forward to painting these beautiful blues, inspired by the image of the painting on the left. This is by Lucy Morrish in which she has followed the techniques used by those who painted illuminated manuscripts in the middle ages. She has actually used Lapis Lazuli and gold leaf and painted on vellum, so she is a real purist. Her painting is called 'Joseph and Aseneth' and was completed in 2019.
